Maya Jama was spotted at Inverness Airport on Sunday as she arrived to film the second series of BBC’s Celebrity Traitors, marking a significant change from her usual sunny filming locations in Spain and South Africa. The 31-year-old presenter reportedly accepted a substantial pay cut, moving from a £800,000 fee on Love Island to £40,000 for this series. She was one of the first celebrities approached for the show, intended to attract a younger audience. Joining her in Scotland were notable names including Julie Hesmondhalgh, Ross Kemp, Joanne McNally, Jerry Hall, Richard E Grant, Bella Ramsey, Michael Sheen, and James Blunt, among others. The series, filmed at Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highlands, will feature a mix of actors, comedians, musicians, and media personalities competing in challenges and navigating psychological intrigue. Claudia Winkleman will host the show, which highlights the celebrities’ strategies, alliances, and deceit as they try to uncover who among them is secretly a ‘traitor’.
