Noah B. Taylor Exits ‘Wednesday’ as Joanna Lumley Becomes Series Regular for Season 3

Netflix’s “Wednesday” is undergoing notable cast changes ahead of its third season. Noah B. Taylor, who joined the series in Season 2 as Bruno Yuson, will not return as a series regular. His character, introduced as a romantic interest for Enid Sinclair, exits the story following the collapse of their relationship. In the Season 2 storyline, Enid discovers that Bruno had maintained ties with his ex-girlfriend, leading to their breakup. Bruno is last seen leaving Nevermore Academy with his former partner, effectively closing his arc.

Meanwhile, Joanna Lumley has been promoted to series regular for Season 3. Lumley portrays Hester Frump, also known as Granmama, Wednesday’s wealthy and formidable maternal grandmother. Introduced in Season 2, Hester has a tense relationship with her daughter Morticia Addams. The Season 2 finale hints at a larger storyline involving Hester, who is revealed to be keeping her long-missing daughter Ophelia imprisoned in her mansion’s basement. Ophelia, previously committed to Willow Hill Psychiatric Hospital, will play a major role in the upcoming season and will be portrayed by Eva Green, another new series regular.

The returning cast includes Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams, Emma Myers as Enid Sinclair, Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia, Luis Guzmán as Gomez, and several other core characters. Fred Armisen will continue in a recurring role as Uncle Fester, while Winona Ryder joins Season 3 as a recurring guest star. The series remains under the creative leadership of Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, with Tim Burton directing and executive producing. Production for the new season is underway in Ireland.
