‘Wednesday’ Season 3 Confirmed with a Potential Addams Family Spinoff

Netflix’s hit series ‘Wednesday,’ featuring Jenna Ortega as the iconic character, has officially been renewed for a third season. The show’s second season will debut in two parts, with the first dropping on August 6, 2025, and the second part on September 3, 2025. Creator Tim Burton and star Jenna Ortega revealed this exciting news in a Hollywood Reporter cover story, where they also touched on their collaboration on the upcoming ‘Beetlejuice’ sequel. While they remained tight-lipped about specifics, showrunners Alfred Gough and Miles Millar expressed their desire to see ‘Wednesday’ run for seven seasons, aligning with the seven-year tenure of students at Nevermore Academy, where the show takes place. In addition to season 3, Gough teased that a spinoff could be in the works, although details are being kept under wraps. Netflix’s Chief Content Officer, Bela Bajaria, hinted at the potential to explore other members of the Addams Family. While the cast has noted that there is more trust in season 2, allowing for grander sequences, Burton emphasized that they are not trying to replicate the viral dance moment from season 1. Fans of the series have much to look forward to, as ‘Wednesday’ continues to captivate audiences worldwide.
