Unfortunately, despite their efforts, the food was off-limits. The Sopranos crew was protective of their catering, with no sympathy for the *Sex and the City* stars, who were left craving meatballs. Director Allen Coulter, a key figure in both shows’ production, humorously recalled how the cast of *The Sopranos* would eat everything on set during multiple takes of eating scenes, without the need for a spit bucket. On *Sex and the City*, the cast didn’t use a spit bucket either, but they were careful about the food they ordered to avoid excessive eating.
