Joker may appear in ‘Clayface’ movie, set photos suggest

New photos from the set of the upcoming ‘Clayface’ film have hinted at a potential appearance by the Joker. The images, shared on social media, include a black-and-white poster with the phrase ‘March against the G.C.P.D. Park Row, Gotham. This Saturday, 2pm. JOIN THE JOKER.’ This follows last month’s teasing of the Joker character, with graffiti tags referencing ‘The Jokers’ seen behind the scenes. Some fans speculate that the Joker may be rallying people to fight against the Gotham City Police Department. Directed by James Watkins, ‘Clayface’ stars Tom Rhys Harries as Matt Hagen, an actor who is disfigured and transformed into a clay creature by a scientist, played by Naomi Ackie. The film is set to release in September 2026 and will be part of the DC Universe’s ‘Chapter One: Gods and Monsters’ slate. While DC’s co-creator confirmed that Alan Tudyk won’t reprise his voice role as Clayface from the ‘Creature Commandos’ animated series, the film offers a new live-action take on the character. Fans of the DC Universe are also anticipating other films like ‘The Brave and the Bold’ and ‘Man of Tomorrow,’ which will continue the franchise’s expansion after ‘Superman.’
