Jurassic World Rebirth Projected to Open With $115–135 Million Over Five Days

Universal’s reboot of the Jurassic franchise, *Jurassic World Rebirth*, is projected to earn between $115 million and $135 million during its five-day opening over the July 4th holiday. The film stars Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Bailey and is directed by Gareth Edwards, known for his work on *Godzilla* and *Rogue One*. Rebirth marks the return of David Koepp, the screenwriter who adapted Michael Crichton’s original novel. The plot follows an expedition in remote equatorial regions to extract DNA from prehistoric creatures for medical breakthroughs, set five years after the events of *Jurassic World: Dominion*.

While early tracking shows numbers slightly behind *Jurassic World: Dominion*, which opened at $145 million, it’s still early in the campaign. The first *Jurassic World* film remains the franchise’s most successful opener with $208.8 million, ranking seventh best all-time domestically. Overall, the franchise has generated $6 billion in revenue from films and merchandising.

*Jurassic World Rebirth* will compete at the box office with *M3GAN 2.0* and the Brad Pitt-led *F1*, both of which are expected to open around $30 million the week before. With strong early interest from both male and female demographics under 25, Rebirth is shaping up to be a major summer release.
