Nollywood filmmaker Kunle Afolayan don express serious wahala over the high cost of diesel wey dey affect him business operations. According to him, him KAP Film Village and Resort dey spend around ₦11 million on diesel every four to five weeks, even though dem don install solar power. The high fuel price wey don reach ₦1,500 per litre dey put pressure on him to maintain smooth power supply. Afolayan talk say dem dey buy diesel on credit to continue business, and sometimes e dey take two months to clear the debt before dem fit buy another batch. E still lament say from the previous ₦995 per litre, the jump to ₦1,500 no too make sense and e no dey sustainable. Him appeal say if anybody fit help, e go appreciate am. The wahala come as Dangote Petroleum Refinery increase PMS price from ₦995 to ₦1,175 per litre, marking the third adjustment in one week. The filmmaker dey worry say the rising energy costs dey threaten the normal running of him film village and other facilities, despite efforts to use solar energy.
