Lin-Manuel Miranda revealed on ‘The Tonight Show’ that the movie adaptation of his Broadway musical ‘Hamilton’ will be released in theaters nationwide on September 5, 2025. Initially filmed in 2016 with the original cast, the movie was released on Disney+ in 2020 due to the pandemic. The film will now have a theatrical release in the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico, with international releases later in the year. A special prologue, ‘Reuniting the Revolution,’ featuring interviews with the cast and creators, will also be part of the theatrical experience.
