Graham Greene, a Canadian actor of Indigenous heritage and a member of the Oneida First Nation, passed away at the age of 73 in Stratford, Ontario. He was best known for his Oscar-nominated role as a medicine man in the acclaimed 1990 film ‘Dances With Wolves,’ which won seven Academy Awards including Best Picture and Best Director. Throughout his nearly 50-year career, Greene appeared in numerous Hollywood blockbusters such as ‘Die Hard with a Vengeance’ and ‘The Green,’ and was well respected in film, theater, and television. Despite his success, he chose to live outside Hollywood and New York, staying rooted in Canada.
