Bruce Springsteen Reflects on Filming of His Biopic and Praises Jeremy Allen White’s Performance

Bruce Springsteen has shared his thoughts on the making of *Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere*, a new biopic in which actor Jeremy Allen White portrays the music icon. Speaking with Rolling Stone, Springsteen described White as ‘wonderfully tolerant’ during the days he visited the set. However, he deliberately avoided filming days that delved into deeply personal parts of his life, particularly those depicting his troubled childhood. Springsteen emphasized that he did not want his presence to interfere with the actors’ performances.

Directed by Scott Cooper, the film features Jeremy Allen White as Springsteen, Jeremy Strong as his longtime manager Jon Landau, and Stephen Graham as Springsteen’s father. The musician noted that he was on tour in Canada during much of the production, limiting his availability to be present. Still, he showed support when needed.

While acknowledging the emotional weight of the subject matter, Springsteen expressed overall satisfaction with the film and praised the entire cast’s performances. He called the project “unusual” but “great,” and affirmed his belief in the dedication and talent of everyone involved. The film is set for release on October 24, 2025.
