Ben Affleck humorously comments on Matt Damon’s gray beard during Netflix Tudum event

Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, longtime Hollywood friends, reunited at Netflix Tudum 2025 in Inglewood, California, where Affleck made a lighthearted joke about Damon’s large gray beard. Affleck humorously admitted he had expected Damon to shave the beard before the event. Damon grew the beard for his role as the Greek hero Odysseus in Christopher Nolan’s upcoming movie, The Odyssey. The two actors also introduced their co-stars from the Netflix film The Rip, in which they play Miami cops dealing with a fractured team after discovering money in an abandoned house. The film is scheduled for release on Netflix on January 16. Affleck and Damon’s friendship dates back to their early days as neighbors in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and they rose to fame after co-writing the Oscar-winning film Good Will Hunting. At the event, Damon showed off his biceps wearing a white short-sleeve shirt and gray jeans, while Affleck opted for a black leather jacket and blue jeans, entertaining the crowd with their camaraderie.
