Ivana Baquero, who currently stars as Maje in Netflix’s number one film ‘A Widow’s Game’, gained international fame in 2006 with her role as Ofelia in Guillermo del Toro’s acclaimed ‘Pan’s Labyrinth’. Born in Barcelona in 1994, Baquero began acting at a young age, making her debut in 2004’s supernatural thriller ‘Romasanta’. Her breakout role in ‘Pan’s Labyrinth’ earned her awards such as Best New Actress at the Goya Awards and a Saturn Award.

In ‘A Widow’s Game’, Baquero portrays Maje, a young widow suspected of murdering her husband in a true-crime story based on the real-life case known as ‘The Black Widow of Patraix’. The film has achieved massive success, appearing in the Top 10 in 90 countries and amassing over 15 million views globally.

Baquero’s TV work includes roles such as Eretria in ‘The Shannara Chronicles’ (2016–2017), and Eva in the Spanish mystery series ‘High Seas’ (2019–2020), both of which showcased her versatility in fantasy and drama genres. She also co-starred in the horror comedy ‘Black Friday’ alongside Bruce Campbell in 2021.
