Profile and Career of Bryan Cranston’s Daughter, Taylor Dearden

Taylor Dearden Cranston, born on 12 February 1993 in Los Angeles, is the only daughter of Bryan Cranston and Robin Gale Dearden. She grew up around the entertainment industry, with both parents being actors, which nurtured her interest in acting from a young age. Taylor trained formally in theatre at the University of Southern California, graduating in 2015. She began her professional acting career in 2010, initially taking small roles, and later appeared in shows like Sweet/Vicious and Netflix’s American Vandal. Her major breakthrough came with the 2025–2026 HBO Max series The Pitt, where she played Dr Melissa King, a neurodivergent character. Taylor has openly discussed living with ADHD and how it informs her work, adding authenticity to her roles. Despite being a ‘nepo baby’, she deliberately uses her mother’s surname professionally to avoid nepotism claims and prefers earning roles through auditions rather than relying on her father’s fame. Her performance in The Pitt earned nominations at Astra TV Awards and Dorian Awards, and a Screen Actors Guild Award as part of the ensemble. She has also had a brief role in Breaking Bad, directed by her father. Taylor continues to carve out her career independently while earning recognition for her talent.
