Anna Kendrick Expresses Interest in Returning for a Third ‘The Accountant’ Film
Director Gavin O’Connor has confirmed that Anna Kendrick is ready to return to her role as Dana Cummings in a potential third installment of ‘The Accountant.’ Although she was not part of the sequel, O’Connor, alongside star Ben Affleck and screenwriter Bill Dubuque, revealed in an interview with The New York Times that Kendrick is eager to join the project if it moves forward. O’Connor shared that he and Dubuque have had preliminary discussions about the possibility of bringing Kendrick back, as they aim to complete the trilogy. Affleck expressed his readiness to return, contingent on receiving a strong script. The third film is expected to explore the character Christian Wolff’s quest for love and connection, completing his arc that has been central to the series. O’Connor emphasized that the series has always been planned as a three-film story, with the first two installments focusing on different themes, while the third will culminate in a more personal journey for Wolff. Both O’Connor and Affleck are optimistic about Kendrick’s involvement and the potential for a satisfying conclusion to the trilogy.
