Lateef Adedimeji and Mo Bimpe announce birth of triplet sons after years of public pressure

Popular Nollywood actor Lateef Adedimeji and his wife, actress Adebimpe Oyebade, also known as Mo Bimpe, have joyfully welcomed triplet sons. The announcement came on May 1, 2026, through an emotional Instagram post where Lateef shared that he had been keeping the news private while focusing on his growing family. He described the birth of the children as the greatest blessing of his life, expressing deep gratitude and calling his wife the mother of “three kings.”

The couple, who got married in December 2021, have been in the public eye not only for their strong romantic relationship but also for their successful collaboration in Nollywood. Over the years, they faced intense public scrutiny and pressure, especially regarding childbearing. Lateef had earlier addressed hurtful comments directed at his wife, including trolls who questioned their ability to have children. At the time, he maintained faith, saying everything would happen at the right time.

Fans who followed the couple closely later connected the news to a subtle message Lateef posted at the beginning of 2026, where he hinted that the year would be their best yet. Many now believe he was already aware of the pregnancy then.

Beyond their personal life, the couple has built a strong professional partnership. Their 2024 movie, Lisabi: The Uprising, performed very well, topping Netflix Nigeria charts and winning multiple awards. Its sequel has also received nominations at the 2026 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards, where Lateef himself earned several nominations.

Following the announcement of the triplets, fans and colleagues flooded social media with congratulatory messages, celebrating the couple’s journey and new chapter as parents of three.
