Tom Holland films action scenes in Glasgow for Spider-Man: Brand New Day
Actor Tom Holland has been spotted filming in Glasgow for his role in the upcoming superhero movie, Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The filming began on Friday, with large parts of the Glasgow city centre transformed to resemble an American city. Holland, dressed in his Spider-Man costume, was seen performing an action sequence on Sunday before taking the time to interact with a crowd of around 100 fans. The production is set to last two weeks, with significant disruptions expected in the area. This is the second time in a row that Holland has filmed in Scotland, after recently working on Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey in Inverness and Moray. Glasgow has increasingly become a popular location for major Hollywood productions, including films like The Flash and The Batman, with the city doubling as iconic locations such as New York and Gotham City. Spider-Man: Brand New Day is slated for release next July, further cementing the city’s status as a Hollywood hotspot. The movie is part of an ongoing trend of blockbuster productions taking advantage of Scotland’s scenic locations and local talent.
