Scary Movie 6 Brings Back Original Cast and Parody Mayhem

The beloved spoof franchise Scary Movie is returning with its sixth instalment, simply titled Scary Movie, due for release on June 11. The first trailer has dropped, featuring Eminem’s 2002 hit ‘Without Me’ and highlighting a mix of classic and contemporary horror references. Ghostface returns, disguised as Megan, stalking victims in a nod to Scream, alongside parodies of Smile, Heart Eyes, Wednesday, Sinners, Get Out, Longlegs, The Substance, Terrifier, Weapons, and Everything Everywhere All At Once. Original cast members are making a welcome return, including Regina Hall and Anna Faris, alongside the Wayans brothers—Marlon and Shawn—reuniting both on-screen and in writing/production roles for the first time since Scary Movie 2. Other returning actors include John Abrahams, Lochlyn Munro, Dave Sheridan, Cheri Oteri, Chris Elliott, and Anthony Anderson. The series aims to tap into nostalgia for audiences who enjoyed the earlier films, following the successful revival of the Scream franchise with Scream 7, which had a record-breaking opening weekend of $US97 million globally. Scary Movie 6 promises a blend of outrageous humour, horror parody, and callbacks to both its roots and modern horror trends.
