Robert Aramayo Wins Double BAFTA Awards for His Role in ‘I Swear’

Robert Aramayo, the 33-year-old actor from Kingston Upon Hull, has achieved remarkable success at the 79th BAFTA Film Awards, winning both the EE Rising Star Award and Best Actor. Starting his acting journey in local youth theatre, Aramayo trained at the prestigious Juilliard School in New York, where he was the only British student accepted in his year. His career includes roles in Game of Thrones as young Ned Stark, Elrond in The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, and the psychological thriller Behind Her Eyes. His breakout film role came with the British independent movie ‘I Swear’, in which he portrayed John Davidson, a Tourette Syndrome advocate. Aramayo’s performance, adopting a Scottish Borders accent, was acclaimed for its authenticity, earning him both a BAFTA and a British Independent Film Award.
