Andrew Liner Shares How He Landed His Role in Ransom Canyon After Initial Rejection

Andrew Liner, who plays Reid Collins in Netflix’s drama series ‘Ransom Canyon’, initially faced rejection during his first audition for the role. Despite this setback, his mother believed strongly in his potential, encouraging him to persevere. A week later, Netflix reached out again, requesting a chemistry read with fellow actor Garrett Wareing. This meeting, followed by additional tapes, ultimately led to Liner being cast. Liner credits his persistence and competitive spirit, developed through years of playing college tennis, as essential traits that helped him navigate the ups and downs of an acting career. He believes both tennis and acting require the ability to handle rejection, learn from failure, and push forward. Liner’s journey into acting was also sparked by a competitive drive after not landing a role in seventh grade, which fueled his commitment to improve. Today, Liner remains focused on continuous growth, aiming to connect deeply with audiences through his performances. While already playing a key character in a hit series, he remains ambitious and determined to evolve further in his craft.
