Park Yong Woo Heads Narcotics Team in Dramatic Battle Against Drug Syndicate in ‘Walking on Thin Ice’

KBS2’s upcoming drama ‘Walking on Thin Ice’ delves into the tense conflict between the Gwangnam narcotics unit and the shadowy drug syndicate known as ‘Phantom.’ The story centers on Kang Eun Soo (Lee Young Ae), a mother determined to protect her family, and Lee Kyung (Kim Young Kwang), a teacher with a secret double life. As tensions rise, the newly released stills highlight the fraught cat-and-mouse game between the narcotics team and the members of Phantom, with a missing bag serving as the key to an explosive confrontation. Park Yong Woo portrays Jang Tae Gu, the leader of the narcotics team, who uses his sharp investigative skills and instincts to track down the criminal network. The supporting cast includes Hwang Jae Yeol as the team’s steady, easygoing member Park Bo Hee, Kwon Ji Woo as Choi Kyung Do, a former medical student turned detective, and Seo Ha Jung as the rookie Lee Eun Young, whose fiery determination propels the team forward. On the opposing side, Won Hyun Joon plays Do Gyu Man, a former gangster who leads Phantom with a decentralized structure. As the drama builds, the lives of young men like Hwang Dong Hyun and Hwang Joon Hyun (played by Lee Kyu Sung and Son Bo Seung) are explored, showing their struggles with poverty and their descent into the drug trade. The series is set to premiere on September 20 at 9:20 p.m. KST.
