Nicole Kidman Announces Wrap on ‘Practical Magic 2’ Production
Nicole Kidman has announced that production on the highly anticipated sequel ‘Practical Magic 2’ has officially wrapped. The actress shared the news on Instagram with a heartfelt message thanking the cast and crew for their contributions. Both Kidman and her original co-star, Sandra Bullock, will reprise their roles as sisters Sally and Gillian Owens, witches who struggle with a family curse. The sequel, based on another book from Alice Hoffman’s ‘Practical Magic’ series, will hit theaters on September 18, 2026. While plot details are currently under wraps, the film is expected to delve deeper into the magical world of the Owens family. The original movie, though not a box office success, gained a cult following over the years. Other returning stars include Dianne West and Stockard Channing, who will reprise their roles as the sisters’ eccentric aunts. New cast members include Lee Pace, Maisie Williams, Xolo Maridueña, Solly McLeod, and Joey King. Directed by Susanne Bier and written by Akiva Goldsman, who co-wrote the original, ‘Practical Magic 2’ is set to bring back the magic and nostalgia that fans of the original film have been waiting for.
