The CW Picks Up ‘Private Eyes West Coast’ Starring Jason Priestley and Cindy Sampson
The CW network has announced the pickup of ‘Private Eyes West Coast,’ a new spin-off of the popular series ‘Private Eyes,’ which originally aired from 2016 to 2021. The show stars Jason Priestley and Cindy Sampson reprising their roles as private investigators Matt Shade and Angie Everett. Unlike the original series, the spin-off follows the duo as they relocate to the West Coast, attempting to start a new chapter of their lives. Their plans for a quiet life are disrupted when they stumble upon a murder during a night out, prompting them to dive back into investigative work. Season 1 will feature the private detectives managing the challenges of launching a new P.I. firm while integrating into a new community. Storylines include tracking a missing student in British Columbia and extracting a murder confession from a surfer in Tofino, showcasing the diverse adventures that await on the West Coast. The series is executive-produced by Shawn Piller and Lloyd Segan, known for ‘Wild Cards,’ and will air in the U.S. on The CW and in Canada on Global. Fans of the original series can expect familiar characters in fresh settings, blending procedural crime elements with new regional challenges and scenic locales.
