Kevin McKidd and Kim Raver to leave Grey’s Anatomy after long tenure

Kevin McKidd, known for playing Dr. Owen Hunt on Grey’s Anatomy, is set to leave the medical drama after 18 seasons. Alongside him, Kim Raver, who portrays Dr. Teddy Altman, will also depart the series after 12 seasons. Their characters have been intertwined throughout the show, moving from friends to lovers and co-parents. McKidd, who joined the series in 2008, expressed gratitude for the personal and professional growth the role has given him, including his experiences as a director on the show. However, Owen Hunt has been a divisive character among fans, often criticised for his toxic relationships, particularly with Cristina Yang and Amelia Shepherd. Raver, who had previously left the show at the end of season eight, returned in season 14 and 15, and her exit has similarly sparked mixed reactions.
