2025 Emmy Nominations: British Crime Drama ‘Adolescence’ Nominated for 13 Awards

The 2025 Emmy Awards nominations have been announced, with British crime drama ‘Adolescence’ receiving an impressive 13 nominations. Among these, English actor Owen Cooper, 15, is nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series for his portrayal of Jamie Miller, a schoolboy murder suspect. Veteran actor Stephen Graham, 51, is up for Outstanding Lead Actor for his role as Jamie’s father, Eddie. The Netflix series, which generated national discussions on online safety upon its March release, is also competing for Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series. Other notable British nominees include Sir Gary Oldman, who received a nod for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for ‘Slow Horses’, and Alan Cumming, nominated for Outstanding Host for ‘The Traitors’. In total, US thriller ‘Severance’ leads with 27 nominations, competing for Outstanding Drama Series alongside ‘Adolescence’. The awards will be presented in September.
