Coyote vs. Acme Movie Gets 2026 Release After Long Delay
After a tumultuous journey, the live-action Looney Tunes film ‘Coyote vs. Acme’ has finally secured a release date for 2026. The movie, which blends animation and live-action, centers on Wile E. Coyote’s legal battle against the Acme Corporation for the faulty products that have led to his numerous failed attempts to capture the Road Runner. Initially filmed in 2022 and scheduled for release in 2023, Warner Bros. Discovery had shelved the film, opting for a tax write-off. The decision, which mirrored their handling of other projects like ‘Batgirl,’ sparked outrage among fans and filmmakers. However, after facing difficulty finding another studio, Ketchup Entertainment picked up the film and confirmed its theatrical release. Directed by Dave Green and featuring a cast that includes Will Forte, John Cena, Lana Condor, and Tone Bell, the film will be produced by Chris deFaria and James Gunn. Fans can look forward to ‘Coyote vs. Acme’ hitting theaters on August 28, 2026.
