Lost Boys and Fairies leads Bafta Cymru with five awards including best actor and best TV drama

At the recent Bafta Cymru awards ceremony, the musical drama ‘Lost Boys and Fairies’ won five awards, including best actor for Siôn Daniel Young, who portrays one half of a gay couple trying to adopt a child. The show also received honors for writing, editing, directing, and best television drama. Anna Maxwell Martin was awarded best actress for her role in the Welsh-filmed true crime drama ‘Until I Kill You.’ The event featured a message from the Prince of Wales, recorded during his visit to the set of Doctor Who in Cardiff, where he praised Wales’ strong talent pipeline and highlighted support for emerging creatives through the Prince William Bursary. Other notable winners included Russell T Davies, recognized for his career contributions including Doctor Who and ‘It’s a Sin.’ Additional awards covered categories such as best presenter, best director (fiction and factual), best news program, best short film, and best documentary, showcasing the diversity and quality of Welsh film and television production.
