Autumn Snyder’s Life and Legacy: A Story of Family, Struggles, and Impact

Autumn Snyder, adopted daughter of filmmaker Zack Snyder, was born on 27 November 1996 in China and grew up in Pasadena, California. She was one of eight children in the Snyder family. Autumn struggled with depression from a young age despite undergoing therapy and medication. She was passionate about writing and spent her time working on a science fiction novel titled ‘The Prophet,’ while also dedicating herself to charitable work through initiatives like the Write-A-Thon Charity and Elizabeth House. Sadly, she died by suicide at age 20 in March 2017, just one year before completing her studies at Sarah Lawrence College. Her death had a profound effect on her family, leading Zack Snyder to step down from directing ‘Justice League’ temporarily to focus on grieving with his children. Autumn had a small cameo in her father’s film ‘Man of Steel’ and was deeply loved for her compassion, creativity, and philanthropic efforts. Her story continues to raise awareness about mental health and the importance of supporting those struggling with depression.
