Highlights and Honorees at the 2025 Academy Museum Gala

The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures hosted its fifth annual gala in Los Angeles on October 19, 2025, supporting education initiatives, public programming, and future exhibitions. The event raised over $12 million in donations benefiting both the general public and the local Los Angeles community. Rolex partnered as the official watch sponsor of the gala, which was co-chaired by notable figures including Jon M. Chu, Common, Viola Davis, Robert and Susan Downey, Jennifer Hudson, and Trustee Alejandro Ramírez Magaña. During the evening, the gala honored influential individuals in the entertainment industry. Wim Wenders presented director Walter Salles with the Luminary Award, Jon M. Chu presented the Vantage Award to actor and comedian Bowen Yang, and Zoe Saldaña presented the Icon Award to Penélope Cruz. The inaugural Legacy Award was given to musician Bruce Springsteen by Martin Scorsese. Springsteen performed three songs, introduced by George Clooney, concluding the event with a live musical segment. The awards, designed by the Haas Brothers, are crafted in cast bronze with nickel, copper, and 24k gold plating. Celebrities attending showcased high-fashion ensembles including Charli xcx in YSL, Kim Kardashian in Maison Margiela, Jacob Elordi in Bottega Veneta, and Olivia Rodrigo in Armani Privé. Other notable attendees included Selena Gomez, Jenna Ortega, Rachel Zegler, Viola Davis, Elle Fanning, and Sydney Sweeney, representing a diverse and stylish red-carpet presence.
